The Temple holds a murti, or statue, of Bhagavan Nityananda, Swami Muktananda’s Guru and one of the most venerable saints of India. In the sacred environment of the Temple one is naturally drawn inward. With its powerful and silent atmosphere, the Temple is an ideal place to meditate, contemplate or simply sit quietly.
The Bhagavan Nityananda Temple, was built out of reverence as a refuge for those who come to meditate, pray, chant, contemplate, and experience the darshan of Bhagavan Nityananda.
To support everyone’s experience in the Temple, please observe the following guidelines.
Temple Guidelines
1. Please dress modestly and respectfully when entering the Temple.
2. Please observe silence in the Temple unless chanting. If you must speak to a Temple sevite, please whisper.
3. Please refrain from wearing any fragrances as they can be distracting to others and some people have fragrance allergies.
Thank you so much for honoring these guidelines and the Temple.
