We warmly invite you to chant and meditate every Tuesday and Saturday evening from 7:30 - 9:00 pm.  There is a newcomer orientation at 7:00 pm. The Siddha Yoga Meditation Center in Los Angeles is open to all who wish to engage in the Siddha Yoga practices of meditation, chanting, seva and dakshina. Rooted in the wisdom of India's ancient sages, Siddha Yoga welcomes people of all faiths and cultures, teaching that divinity lies within each human being. The Siddha Yoga path is one of inner transformation, based on the study and implementation of the timeless teachings of the Siddha Yoga Gurus, and enlivened by the grace of Siddha master, Gurumayi Chidvilasananda. |

Purpose StatementDuring the Indian month of Magha, as the moon wanes and illumines the morning sky, devotees honor the great night of Shiva, Mahashivaratri. It is said that on Mahashivaratri, a single repitition of Shiva's name and the benefits of worship performed on this night are multiplied a thousandfold. The purpose statement for Mahashivaratri, February 11, 2010 is: On the auspicious night of Mahashivaratri, Siddha Yogis honor Shiva, the Self of all, by repeating the sacred mantra of the Siddha Yoga lineage Om Namah Shivaya. |
